YES, IT'S TRUE!!!!! Alyssa signed a lease on September 19 for her very own dance studio! If everything goes well, classes will be held at the new studio starting in early October. The studio is located in the Government Street Plaza at 2420 Government Street in Ocean Springs. It is in a small shopping center on the southeast corner of the intersection with Bechtel Avenue. The property is 1000 square feet and was recently renovated, to include new drywall, a new ceiling, a new bathroom & new lights: |

| Painting and installation of the floor should begin next week. After that, all that will be needed is some mirrors and the studio will be "shimmy ready"! :) Check back for updates and pictures of the progess! The Gulf Coast Bellydance studio will be the first bellydance studio EVER in the MS Gulf Coast area. |

Alyssa received her key to the new studio today and was able to take a look inside. The colors
for paint have been picked out. The floor installation should begin in the next day or two.

The floor installation began today and should be finished by tomorrow morning. The base boards will be installed tomorrow morning and then painting can begin. :) A mirror estimate is in the works and they could be installed as early as next week. The studio sign has been designed and submitted for approval. Things are moving along pretty quickly! The studio should be ready for use by October 1st. Keep your fingers crossed!

The floors were finished today. The baseboards will be installed tomorrow and painting will begin this weekend. The mirrors were also purchased today and will be installed next Tuesday.

The first of two city inspections was conducted today and everything was given a "go." The water was turned on today as well.

After 13 hours today, about 95% of the painting is done. Just a few touch up spots left, then the bathroom.

The sign was taken down today and the new one should be up by the end of the week. It turned out that a second coat of paint was needed, so the last coat of paint went on today, leaving only touch ups and the bathroom.

The first coat of paint in the bathroom went on today. The mirrors will be here tomorrow.

The bathroom painting was completed and the mirrors were installed today. Next step - moving in furniture and decorations.

The final city inspection was performed today and the business priviledge license was granted. The sign was also installed today. :) All day tomorrow will be "moving in" day.

OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!!!
The first official class at the Gulf Coast Bellydance Studio was held today. Thanks to everyone who showed up to participate in the first Belly Fit class!
